Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine
Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine have been used for over 2000 years as a means of promoting health and restoring energetic balance. According to Chinese medical theory, one's energy, or chi, flows through various channels in the body. When the flow of chi is blocked or weakened, a state of imbalance arises. This imbalance, if left uncorrected, will eventually manifest as illness or disease. Acupuncture treatments, using thin, sterile needles to stimulate points along the channels, unblock and strengthen the channel flow, creating balance and restoring health. Herbal medicine is often prescribed as well to maintain the body's balance between treatments.
Acupuncture is successfully used to treat both acute and chronic conditions such as:
- hormonal imbalances
- women's health issues
- digestive disorders
- neck and back pain
- muscle spasms
